Global Sustainability Efforts and Correlation with Promotional Bags

A recent Datamonitor report provided new information about the priorities of American consumers, who apparently do not care as much about sustainable packaging like promotional bags as many other countries worldwide. The responses were derived from surveys conducted in 15 countries around the globe, spanning a total of four continents. Americans ranked as the home of consumers almost least likely to actively search for products packaged with minimally wasteful wrapping, only slightly more responsive than citizens from the Netherlands. Promotional bags and packaging should be much more influential over consumers’ purchasing decisions if we want to combat environmental pollution and the deterioration of our planet. An abysmal 20% of consumers globally said that packaging had a high or very high level of influence on their choices to buy certain food and drink items, so there is certainly much room to educate shoppers about the benefits of reusable promotional bags.
